Provides excellent service to team members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment through coaching of age group swimmers.

POSITION SCHEDULING:  Mon, Tues, Thurs,Fri 4-5pm & 7:15-8:30p. Swim Meets on weekends.

1. Assist the head coach with conducting practices and guiding skill mastery, program planning, and communication with swimmers. Ensure that Y values are incorporated into programming.
2. Conducts energizing, fun, safe, and educational practices. Ensures fair practice and meet experiences.
3. Assist with the collection and organization of performance data.
4. Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
5. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures.
6. Able to commit to a set practice schedule and attend at least 75% of the practices assigned.
7. Stays up to date on competitive swimming best practices and trends.
8. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
9. Commit to a set practice schedule and attend at least 80% of the practices assigned. If unable to attend, a qualified replacement must be arranged.
10. Certified swim instructor or coach is preferred
11. Must be at least 18 years of age

1. 2-3 years of experience coaching competitive swimming
2. CPR, AED, First Aid, Lifeguard certified

• Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper swim techniques.
• Ability to safely traverse pool deck.
• Ability to lift equipment
